Program Overview

The Mercedes ISD Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE Program) is an after school program currently being offered at all Mercedes ISD campuses for K - 12th grade students. We strive to provide a structured, safe, and supervised environment that sparks creativity, imagination, learning and social interaction through hands-on inquiry based learning to prepare students with 21st Century Skills. Our after school program is free of charge and offers students a variety of academic tutorials and enrichment programs before and after school.

Mercedes ISD ACE provides extended learning opportunities for students and their families and offers innovative, hands-on activities that reinforce and complement students' regular day academic programs. These activities are offered before and after school and are based on research and best practices. By working with community partners, we provide academic enrichment that meets community needs.

Mercedes ISD ACE also strives to increase promotion and graduation rates and help students prepare for college and the 21st Century workplace. We do this with our various activities such as college readiness programs for all grade levels, technology camps, reading camps, social studies camps and math camps.
