The Mercedes Special Education Cooperative offers a free, appropriate public education to all individuals with disabilities, ages 3-21, who are eligible for special education and related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Private school children and home-schooled children with disabilities who reside within a member district’s jurisdiction will also have the opportunity to access special education services.

COVID 19 Temporary School Closures and Evaluations for Special Education

Mercedes Special Education Coop (MSEC) is making a good faith effort in honoring evaluation requests. Until normal school operations resume, a parent/guardian member, should visit their campus website to contact the Special Education campus administrator or you may contact Dr. Dora Rodriguez, Special Ed Co-op Director 956-825-5034.

El departamento de Educación Especial de Mercedes Coop (MSEC), está hacienda un esfuerzo de buena fe para cumplir con las solicitudes de evaluación. Hasta que se reanuden las operaciones escolares normales, un padre/tutor, debe visitor el sitio web de su escuela para contratar al Administrador o puede comunicarse con Dra.
