The Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) Career Cluster® focuses on the essential elements of life—food, water, land, and air. This career cluster includes a diverse spectrum of occupations, ranging from farmer, rancher, and veterinarian to geologist, land conservationist, and florist. It also includes non-traditional agricultural occupations like wind energy, solar energy, and oil and gas production.
Architecture and Construction

The Architecture and Construction Career Cluster® focuses on designing, planning, managing, building, and maintaining the built environment. Principles of Architecture provides an overview to the various fields of architecture, interior design, and construction management.
Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications

The Arts, A/V Technology and Communications Career Cluster encompasses a wide range of occupations in which students have opportunities to apply both their creative talents and technical skills. It includes pathways that lead to careers in audio/video production, multimedia design and development, journalism, photography, and fashion design, as well as telecommunications, videogame programming, computer animation, and broadcasting.
Business, Marketing, and Finance

The Business Management and Administration Career Cluster overlaps every other career cluster. Consequently, it covers a wide variety of industries and occupations. Careers in this cluster deal with all aspects of maintaining a business, including developing business plans, obtaining funds, hiring and developing staff, monitoring the competition, and promoting the business’s services or products.
Education and Training

The Education and Training Career Cluster focuses on occupations that involve providing instruction, management, counseling, and support to others. Careers in this field require strong communication skills, initiative, creativity, and a desire to help others.
Health Science

The Health Science Career Cluster focuses on careers in planning, managing, and providing health care. Health science includes a broad range of high-demand, high-skilled occupations. There are programs of study appropriate for students who have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to help others and who prefer to work independently, analyze complex problems, and develop advanced technological solutions.
Hospitality and Tourism

The Hospitality and Tourism Career Cluster® focuses on the management, marketing, and operations of restaurants and other food/beverage services, lodging, attractions, recreation events, and travel-related services. Students learn knowledge and skills focusing on communication, time management, and customer service that meets industry standards. Students will explore the history of hospitality and tourism industry an examine characteristics needed for success in that industry.
Human Services

The Human Services Career Cluster encompasses careers that relate to families and human needs. Cosmetology, childcare, elder care, nutrition, counseling and mental health are just a few of the fields included in this cluster.
Information Technology

The Information Technology (IT) career cluster focuses on the design, development, support, and management of hardware, software, multimedia, and systems integration services. This career cluster includes occupations ranging from Software developer and Programmer to Cybersecurity Specialists and Network Analysts.
Law and Public Service

The Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security Career Cluster® focuses on planning, managing, and providing legal services, public safety, protective services, and homeland security, including professional and technical support services. Students will examine the roles and responsibilities of police, courts, corrections, private security, and protective agencies of fire and emergency services.
Manufacturing

The Manufacturing Career Cluster encompasses careers related to planning, managing, and performing the processing of materials into intermediate or final products. It also includes careers in professional and technical support activities such as production planning and control, maintenance, and process engineering.
Engineering

The Engineering career cluster focuses on planning, designing, testing, building, and maintaining of machines, structures, materials, systems, and processes using empirical evidence and science, technology, and math principles. This career cluster includes occupations ranging from mechanical engineer and drafter to electrical engineer and to mapping technician.
Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics

The Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics career cluster focuses on planning, management, and movement of people, materials, and goods by road, pipeline, air, rail, and water. It also includes transportation infrastructure planning and management, logistics services, and mobile equipment and facility maintenance. This career cluster includes occupations ranging from automotive mechanic, avionics technician, and automotive entrepreneur to pilots and logistics planning professionals.
