Mercedes Independent School District has officially relocated its Administration Office to 801 Hidalgo St., Mercedes, TX 78570, bringing several key departments together under one roof. The new space is designed to enhance efficiency and collaboration while continuing to support the district’s mission of serving students, staff, and families.
At the September 16, 2025 Regular Board Meeting, the MISD Board of Trustees approved renaming the facility the Mercedes ISD – John F. Kennedy Administration Building. This change honors the district’s history while providing a central hub for district operations. Departments now housed at the new location include the Office of the Superintendent, Office of Teaching & Learning, Human Resources, Business Office, Federal Programs, Accelerated Learning, Special Education, Safe Schools, Technology, Career and Technical Education, Child Nutrition Services, and Purchasing.
The district looks forward to welcoming families, staff, and community members to the new MISD John F. Kennedy Administration Building.
