Mercedes ISD is expanding Career & Technical Education (CTE) opportunities with the addition of a new Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program beginning with the 2026–2027 school year at Mercedes High School.
The new program will provide students with hands-on learning experiences and industry-relevant technical skills that prepare them for careers in one of the region's high-demand workforce sectors.
As part of the district's continued commitment to expanding CTE pathways, the HVAC program will help students explore career opportunities while developing the knowledge and practical experience needed for success after graduation.
