Mercedes ISD will welcome student percussion programs from across the Rio Grande Valley for the Mercedes Queen City Percussion Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Mercedes Tiger Stadium. Performances will begin at 9:00 a.m., featuring middle school and high school drumlines from throughout the region.
The festival will showcase the rhythm, discipline, and dedication of participating student musicians, including the Mercedes High School percussion program, which is scheduled to perform at 11:45 a.m. The event will conclude with a special exhibition performance by the UTRGV Drumline at noon.
Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 12 and younger. Children under the age of 3 will be admitted free. Mercedes ISD invites families and community members to attend and support the talented students taking the field for a morning of percussion and school pride.
