All students will be allowed to dress in warm clothing, such as warm ups, hooded pullovers, scarves and other wintery attire. Last month, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Council came together at Mercedes High School for an engaging meeting, filled with discussions on industry trends, essential training, and classroom strategies to prepare our students for future success. 🤝🎓🌟 We were #MISDproud to host the industry and business leaders alongside Mercedes ISD educators as they toured our CTE classes. Mercedes students earn honors at UIL Academic Meet hosted at Veterans Memorial High School in Mission! 📚🐅 🎉 BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our UIL super sophomores, especially Carlie Rabel, who placed 3rd in Literary Criticism and 6th in Headline Writing. Fijlis Estrada clenched 2nd Place in Poetry - bravo to him. 🎉 Double congratulations to Zachary Sanchez, who placed 5th place in Copy Editing, and Adrian Gonzalez for placing 7th in Spelling. 🌟 And, last but not least, congratulations to freshman Keyla Ochoa, who placed 4th place in Ready Writing. This was the first UIL meet of the season, and the team competed against over 35 schools from across the Rio Grande Valley. Excellent job, Tigers!
