Congratulations to the Mercedes FFA, as two chapter officers, Kaitlyn Hendricks and Hector Zuniga, have been elected to the Citrus Valley District FFA Officer team! 👏 The students will not only represent Mercedes, but also the 14 schools that are part of the Citrus Valley District FFA as well as Area X FFA. The virtual meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. and the in-person meeting will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. at the MISD Central Office Board Room, 206 W. 6th St.

The Mercedes ISD Health Services department convened its monthly meeting recently, focusing on preparations for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Our nurses warmly welcomed representatives from the Hidalgo County Health Department to discuss immunization requirements for the new academic term. Furthermore, the Texas Department of State Health Services delivered a vital presentation on raising awareness about meningitis.
