The Lady Tigers displayed strength and determination at the UIL District 32-5A Track meet last week, giving it their all against some tough competition. We are #MISDproud to share their outstanding achievements:
🐾 Randi Lara earned 6th place in the 3200-meter run
🐾 Alyna Gonzalez earned 5th place Discus Throw
🐾 Mia Gonzalez brought home 6th place Shot Put
🐾 Jaymie Flores took 6th place in the Long Jump, 2nd place in the Triple Jump, 1st place in the 100 meters and 1st place in the 200 meters.
🐾 Isabella Parker brought home 1st place in the High Jump, 1st place in the 100-meter hurdles and 3rd place in the 300-meter hurdles.
🐾 Kenzie Rodriguez earned 3rd place in 200-meters and 5th place in 100-meters.
🐾 Hayden Ledesma earned 6th place in the 300-meter hurdles.
🐾 The 400-Meter Relay team, consisting of Hayden Ledesma, Kenzie Rodriguez, Isabella Parker and Jaymie Flores, earned 4th place.
🐾 The 800-Meter Relay team, consisting of Isabella Molina, Hayden Ledesma, Leslie Gaona and Avie Garza, earned 6th place.

Congratulations to the Mercedes FFA for their outstanding performance at the Texas A&M Qualifying Horse Judging Contest on April 6! The team, represented by Leo De La Paz, Nathan Lopez, Pablo Martinez, and Isaiah Gracia, earned 4th Place in Area and First in District. Additionally, the HIGH POINT Individual was earned by Isaiah Gracia for the Citrus Valley District. 👏👏

Mercedes ISD hosted its first “2024 Bond Facts" parent and community meeting last night at the MISD Auditorium. The district will have one proposition (Proposition A) for $48,125,000 on the May 4, 2024 election ballot that will include roof replacements, HVAC upgrades, student safety and security, campus and department renovations, and more. Mercedes ISD campuses hosted the first set of the “2024 Bond Facts” meetings for district staff last month, with administrators presenting the proposed $48,125,000 school bond referendum facts.
This week, the district will begin holding "2024 Bond Facts” meetings for parents and community members starting Wednesday, April 3, 2024 and Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 6 p.m. in the Mercedes ISD Auditorium, 837 S. Ohio Ave. The comprehensive bond proposal is set for the May 4, 2024 ballot. For more Bond FAQs and to see all proposed campus improvements, visit misdtx.net/bond.
